In December 2008, co-publishers Rob, James and Karch launched “Nerd Up” with the goal of bringing our own brand of geek news to the “internets” and to create a haven where our fellow geeks could voice their own opinion.
The purpose of this is site is to write about what we love! We all still collect comics, movies, games and collectibles. We’re able to write from the perspective of the average unbiased fan, because we ARE those fans.
The term “Nerd Up” originally started out as a reoccurring joke. Often when referring to something geeky, we would end our sentences with an affectionate “Nerd Up”. It’s stuck around this long, so when coming up with a name for the site, Nerd Up fit perfectly!
