Second Trailer For “The Amazing Spider-Man”
by ilango on Feb.07, 2012, under Film
Sony has also unveiled the second official trailer via YouTube for Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man and it’s definitively packing a punch. Hell there is even a glimpse of the Lizard, and he doesn’t look laughably bad!
You also get a sense of Spider-Man’s cockiness and a tease at his chemistry with Gwen Stacey. Overall, I’m pretty excited. I wasn't even planning on seeing this movie, but now I'm sold (IMAX!). It seems like Webb and company have really found a way to take what we all love about Spider-Man and yet isolate it from the films of the previous decade.
The Avengers SUPER BOWL XLVI Commercials!
by ilango on Feb.06, 2012, under Film
Marvel Studios has released its Super Bowl commercial for “The Avengers.” Sporting new footage from the movie, the hi-def spot features Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the Hulk in action before finishing with a shot of the entire team, fully assembled and battl ready. The last 10 seconds of it gives me the chills. Easily some of the best images we’ve seen fromt the movie so far.
Additionally, Marvel has released a second, extended version of the trailer with even more previously unseen footage, including new clips of Hawkeye and the Black Widow along with the first speaking appearance of Loki on screen as Thor’s half-brother confronts Tony Stark to threaten the Avengers with his army, only to have Stark reply, “We have a Hulk.”
Marvel’s “The Avengers” is the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.
“Marvel’s The Avengers,” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures. The film is being produced by Marvel Studios’ President, Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Jon Favreau, Patricia Whitcher and Louis D’Esposito. With the Super Bowl around the corner, all the studios are putting there best foot forward when it comes to TV Spots. With over a billion viewers, this is make or break for a movie. We can expect to see commercials for the Avengers (Teaser released earlier this week), Amazing Spider-Man and GI Joe Retaliation! Thankfully, the GI Joe spot was released earlier, and all I gotta say is “Goddamn! That shit looks amazing!” I really did say that!
This is what I like:
- Bullets Vs. Darts
- Cobra Commander’s Mask looks pretty cool!
- Fire Fly will be rocking a ski mask!
- The Cobra Vipers look like the OG cartoon
With US ToyFair just a week away, Hasbro has released press images for the up coming GI Joe: Retaliation Toy Like. For a better look at some of the characters, hit the jump.
Teaser: Marvel’s The Avengers, Super Bowl Commercial

Earlier today, Marvel Studios held a twitter event hosted by Marvel’s @Agent_M (Ryan Penagos) along with some of the cast and crew of Marvel’s The Avengers. A few funny tidbits were dropped, but the one thing that did stand out was the 17 second clip posted above. Sadly, no Skrulls, Kree, Red Skull or Thanos … but intergalactic spaceships? I’m thinking the other baddie in the movie is The Frost Giants … yawn.
