Blue Beetle Looks … Awkward

Given everything else, I had totally forgotten that Geoff Johns was going to be showing that live-action Blue Beetle test footage, which was teased a few weeks ago. A few things of note: 1) it was apparently directed by Alex Winter, better known as Bill S. Preston, Esquire, and 2) it's not very good. I don't know how much of that to hold against it; very possibly they didn't have much money or time for the CG, and maybe Winter didn't have much time (or wasn't getting paid much) for the direction. Heck, maybe that script was forced on him. I don't know. All I'm saying is that I want to see a live-action Blue Beetle series in spite of this video, not because of it, which I believe was the point.
err OK i guess?
I was always partial to the Blue Beetle from the early 90s, that just wore a suit with the bulging yellow eyes...
