From the creators of the original Alan Wake game comes this new take on the franchise. It’s meant to be a stand alone game and it’s taking a more campy approach to Alan Wake’s story, which may be for better or worse. One thing that’s clear to see from the trailer is that this game looks really, really fun.

Whoa! They are making another Resident Evil Game? I hated Resident Evil 5, RE4 was a masterpiece! and Wait a minute, you are telling me Leon Kennedy and Ashley are back (RE4) with … Chris Redfield! Did Leon just shoot the President? Did a tentacle just rip you out of cover? Well done Capcom, you have restored my faith in the franchise!

The most celebrated comic-inspired video game of all time swoops in for another stealth attack on October 18th. Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to 2009′s breakout hit Arkham Asylum, see’s city-wide bedlam on your favorite consoles.

Synopsis

Up first, we have Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Sony was smart to lead off there weak E3 presentation with the above clip. I really enjoyed both Uncharted games — lots of fun, good dialogue, very cinematic — and short enough and gratifying enough that I never felt overwhelmed with too many options or the things I was missing. It was extremely satisfying.

Verdict: Consider this pre-ordered!

Bethesda (Fallout 3/Oblivion) gives G4TV gameplay preview, we get to see about of 13 minutes of footage (after a little G4 intro bit). I loved Fallout 3, looks like Bethesda knocked it out of the park with this one (sports cliches for an RPG?)

Verdict: Wait till I see it “used”

A nice CGI trailer for the new Star Wars MMO, Noticed a lot of similarities with A New Hope.

• Bad Ass Smuggler? Check..

Smuggler’s ship that looks distinctly similar to the Falcon? Check..

• Ship whose hyperdriver needs time to charge and forces some new crewmates to man the quad turrets? Check..
• Cool old guy jedi master who sacrifices himself? Check..

Ah fuck it, who cares? This is an amazing trailer. Bravo Bioware. Bravo.

Verdict: Mildly interested, wait and see

Lastly, we have the trailer for the new Halo game, this time from developer 343 Industries. I felt Bungie dropped the ball on the last Halo game, The multiplayer was amazing, balanced, maps were cool, but the single player storyline was straight trash! I actually enjoyed ODST more than Halo 3. /rant

Verdict: I know I’ll be pressured into making this a Day 1 purchase.

I'm really looking forward to playing Batman: Arkham City when it's released this fall! In the trailer above, it looks like we will now get to play as CATWOMAN! I'm not sure what the button combo will be to do that "kiss-then-punch" move, wonder how she deals with "Thug Breath", I can't see Joker or Arkham having a dental plan.

Rocksteady has been dropping hints about The Penguin's involvement in Batman: Arkham City for a while now - the most blatant of which being the appearance of the nemesis' Iceberg Club in the game's first teaser trailer. According to ArkhamCity.co.uk, Rocksteady marketing manager Dax Ginn recently spilled the beans about the portly foe's role in the upcoming crimefighting sequel to the Australian Sunday Herald, revealing the very first image of his in-game look, seen above.

Check out this new Dead Island preview! Now, you may be sick of zombies and zombie games, and I wouldn't begrudge that of you. But there several things that make me intrigued by Dead Island:

1. the concept of a "vacation island" is a new setting for a zombie game
2. gameplay happens in the harsh light of day, unlike virtually every other horror game
3. zombies in bikinis = mega scary!

Ryu gives in to his demons, channeling a dark new power in this trailer for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, the next release of the fighting game.

I'm patiently waiting for "Super Duper Street Fighter 4.5" to be released this fall.

I was pretty amped to have Deadpool in MvC3, but now Taskmaster, this game went from first day buy to pre-order! A bit more about Tasky after the jump!

Taskmaster (Tony Masters) is a fictional supervillain in the Marvel Universe. Created by writer David Michelinie and artist George Pérez, the character first appeared in Avengers (1st series) #195. He is a main nemesis of Deadpool and Moon Knight, although he has reluctantly allied himself with Deadpool several times.

• Taskmaster's "photographic reflexes" give him the inhuman ability to appropriately execute any fighting move or style he is able to observe and study.
• On the basis of his clashes with the Avengers, Taskmaster carries an arsenal of weapons familiar to Earth's mightiest heroes. A shield, sword, and arrows pertain to Captain America, Black Knight and Hawkeye, and do well to compliment his expert hand-to-hand fighting skills.
• So respected are Taskmaster's skills that he has regularly been sought out as a trainer by hero and villains alike. Among his most noted pupils; Crossbones, Spider-Woman, and a man he trained for the US Military to become a replacement for Captain America, the eventual Avenger, John Walker.
