Soundgarden Serenades The Avengers

Keep an eye out on May 1st for the soundtrack of music from, and inspired by, Marvel’s The Avengers. This track list includes songs from popular bands such as Rise Against and Five Finger Death Punch, amongst many others. Two time Grammy winning band Soundgarden has even written a song for the soundtrack. This news comes just two years after Soundgarden reunited, following a 13 year breakup. Check out the track list below.

I’m not big into music video trailers, but this one has peaked my interest. This isht right here is looking crazy (Flex Bomb Drop). The opening Monologue is something out of Kill Bill, a lil cliche, but i’ll take anything grimy to get the valentines day taste out of my mouth.

Continuing in their recent trend of Star Wars themed commercials, Volkswagen brings this spot to the renowned Superbowl advertising lineup. It’s a pretty catchy and entertaining take on the “Imperial March” that we know and love. I think that the At-At at the end of the video was a nice touch. Also, watch out for the other VW ad today, which features an all out recreation of the Mos Eisley Cantina from A New Hope.

The official (and out of sync) trailer for Michael Rappaport‘s documentary about one of the greatest groups of all time featuring appearances from Nas, Prince Paul, De La Soul, Large Professor, Mos Def, and more.

Update: The film is set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival next year, but don’t expect to see Q-Tip there. This afternoon via his Twitter account, he said he’s no longer showing his support for the film.

I am not in support of the a tribe called quest documentary. The filmmaker should respect the band to the point of honoring the few requests that’s was made abt the piece. The filmmaker shld respect the band enough to honor our request regarding the the film
