More Batman Figures… and lunchboxes.

by on Jan.31, 2012, under Nerdery

About a week ago Hot Toys showed off some images of the upcoming Bane figure for the Dark Knight Rises. DC Direct responded with some teaser pictures of their own new upcoming Dark Knight Rises toy line, and other promotional material. The new figures are set to make a debut in February at the New York toy fair, and the other promotional material (Dark Knight Rises lunchbox anyone?) is set to hit shelves soon.

Teaser: Marvel’s The Avengers, Super Bowl Commercial

by on Jan.31, 2012, under Film

Earlier today, Marvel Studios held a twitter event hosted by Marvel’s @Agent_M (Ryan Penagos) along with some of the cast and crew of Marvel’s The Avengers. Collectable Avengers 3D Glasses

Avengers Movie News

Here is a first look at the collectable 3D glasses for the avengers. They will be available in most theaters for about $5 each. Come May 4, you’ll be able to watch Marvel’s The Avengers in all its 3D glory while wearing one of these “sporty” pairs of collectible glasses. The “house of the mouse” marketing juggernaut continues, these are beyond bad. I think the Iron Man ones will sell, the Hulk glasses might end in up a landfill next to all those E.T. cartridges.

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the Incredible Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill and Stellan Skarsgård as Dr. Selvig.

One thing that’s clear to see from the trailer is that this game looks really, really fun.
