Nerd Up!

    The third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises hit the web this morning, touting the anticipated new flick as the “Epic Conclusion to the Dark Knight Legend.”  My thoughts.

• Bane's Voice sounds better
• Holy Flying Bat Thing
• Still no idea what Joseph Gordon-Levitt is doing

The trailer will be running in front of the Indie Summer Sleeper, "The Avengers", opening this friday.

Once again a trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers has set the record for most iTunes views in a 24-hour period with 13.7 million views. This comes just after the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises beat the previous record that was set by the first Avengers trailer back in October. One wonders if the next trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will beat this new record, thus continuing the battle for movie trailer supremacy.

If you haven't bought Superman/Batman #75, then you should probably be aware that there's an insanely wonderful Calvin and Hobbes parody strip in it, starring Joker and Lex Luthor, by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo. It's so well done I'd swear Bill Watterson drew it, except he totally didn't.
