Nerd Up!

Hasbro has released new press images to the media and there are some cool new things in this batch we have not yet seen before. Shown in the images below for the second wave of 2011 for the 3.75″ Marvel Universe line. This wave includes:

• Cable
• First Appearance Wolverine
• Apocalypse
• Cyclops
• Gladiator

Also included were images  third wave of 2011 including some never before seen variants like a translucent Doctor Strange and what appears to be a package variant for the Scarlet Spider figure. This wave includes the following figures.

• Doctor Strange
• Falcon
• Scarlet Spider
• Dr. Doom
• Skaar

Some other new items are Team Packs, one is a Kmart exclusive Captain America 3.75″ figure 3-pack themed “The International Patriots”. This set includes Captain America, Captain Britian and Red Guardian. The other 2 are a Classic Avengers and an Uncanny X-Force team pack.

There are also new packaged and loose images for the upcoming 16″ Sentinel with Wolverine figure.

Last week we showed you Hasbro’s Press images for Marvel Universe 2011 Wave 2 (Wave 13). With Toy Fair happening this weekend, Hasbro has sent along press images for the next 2 waves! Waves 3 and 4 will feature artwork by Simone Bianchi.

Wave 3

• Commander Steve Rogers
• X-23 (X-Force costume)
• Darkhawk (with classic and War of Kings variants)
• Namor (brand new sculpt in green trunks)
• Ultron (aka ul-TRON)

Wave 4

• Doctor Strange (with astral variant)
• Falcon with Redwing (Modern Version)
• Skaar
• Doctor Doom (Repaint)
• Scarlet Spider (Hoody Version)

Earlier this week MTV Geek announced that McFarlane Toys would be producing “Walking Dead” figures. The first wave of deluxe 6-inch figures is releasing in September 2011, includes four fan-favorite characters from the Image comic book including:

THE WALKING DEAD Series 1

• Officer Rick Grimes
• Michonne
• Zombie Lurker
• Zombie Roamer

The second series of deluxe 6-inch figures is revealed in November 2011 and introduces four figures based on AMC’s original drama including:

THE WALKING DEAD Series 2

• Deputy Rick Grimes
• Daryl Dixon
• Zombie Walker
• Zombie Biter

Each human figure includes multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation for limitless possibility and customization. Each zombie figure features unique, gory, play action such as exploding heads and removable limbs. Figures are expected to sell for around $14.99 at retailers nationwide.

Above we have our first look at the first wave of the Marvel Universe 2011 “Greatest Battles” 3.75″ Comic 2-Packs.

• Deadpool VS Taskmaster
• Patch VS Silver Samurai

These sets were initially listed last year in Walmart computers, and now we have photographic evidence of their existence! The Deadpool figure looks like a new sculpt, and not the same mold used for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine figure … Taskmaster looks totally badass!

We can also expect a wave to feature the following, but unfortunately no images were released.

• Power Man & Iron Fist
  
• Spider-Man Vs. Captain Britain
