According to Animax and Marvel, the story is set one year after the death of Jean Grey and after the X-Men organization has effectively disbanded. However, Hisako Ichiki (Armor) — a mutant middle school girl living in northeastern Japan — has gone missing. An emergency call for help is sent, and the founder of the X-Men, Professor X, summons his team from all over the globe. The reunited X-Men travel to Japan where they encounter a supremacist cult called the U-Men.

Some notable tidbits from the opener, we get a first glimpse of Jean Grey, Rouge and what looks to be Master Mold. Best part, no Emo/Mullet Weapon X … he’s into cutting.

I’m absolutely speechless… I have no idea how I can even play a game like this, I want to play this! Rarely do we see a trailer (a video game trailer at that), with this much depth and emotion! If they have put this much effort into a game trailer, I can only imagine how grimey the game’s narrative will be.

Very much in the same vein as “Walking Dead”, I just hope it transitions into an amazing gaming experience.
