Nerd Up!

A couple of months ago Alpha Flight was upgraded from a mini-series to an on-going, but has now since been canceled (blame Canada). Wolverine Hugh Jackman plays Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Iron Man looks dope! The animation kind of reminds me of what Tony Stark would look like in the Evangelion series. Wolverine on the other hand makes no sense, how can you transform a burly/hairy Canadian midget into an effeminate ninja. I guess they missed the memo on the hair, he’s Canadian so he needs hockey hair right? One can only wish they made this a full anime series, nerd sigh..

I gotta admit, the stuff with Sabretooth and Logan looks pretty bangin. I really don’t get why they crammed so many characters, but I’m assuming it jumps around a lot in the timeline. At least they kind of got it half right with weapon x, including mastadon, maverick and deadpool (closet fan). I know, I should be ahamed of my Deadpool fandon, I absolutley detest anything associated with Rob Liefeld, but I guess that is for another day, another post.
