“Prometheus” … The Girl with the Space Jockey Tattoo?
by ilango on Jan.17, 2012, under Film
The new pic shows Noomie Rapace with some Space Jockeys (The Huge Alien found in the first Alien movie) in the background.
One of the longstanding rumors surroundings Prometheus is that the film will not only feature the giant skeletal creature known as the Space Jockey – first glimpsed in Scott’s 1979 Alien movie – but that the race to which that extraterrestrial belongs will ultimately be connected somehow to the creation of humankind.
Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
“Prometheus” stars Charlize Theron and Idris Elba, Michael Fasbender, Noomie Rapace, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce. It is scheduled for theatrical release on June 8th, 2012.
