First Look at CW’s Green Arrow

The CW is doing a Green Arrow series. You know, for those of you that think Smallville was/is/still-might-be a good idea – here’s another DC series.
The CW’s ARROW stars Stephen Amell (Scott Becker on Private Practice) as Oliver Queen, The Green Arrrow.

Here’s the thing – I despise Smallville for taking putting the square-shaped Superman into a round-TV-melodrama hole. Superman was the wrong character to give that treatment too.
Green Arrow is most interesting when he represents an idea, like during the socially-conscious Green Arrow/Green Lantern crossover comics. The other way that I could have seen Arrow work was in his own movie (remember the now-dead SUPERMAX?)
As a lover of comics, you can’t convince me that superheroes are best served as teen-focused melodrama. You just can’t.
That being said, what I’m seeing in this image is undoubtably Green Arrow, it’s just from the same colored leather universe as Ben Affleck’s Daredevil, so it’s hard to pass judgement.
