Promotional Artwork For ‘Machete’ Sequel

After laying dormant for a couple of years, the ‘Machete’ fans out there got some really good news earlier in the week when it was reported that production on the film’s sequel, ‘Machete Kills’ could begin as early as April, only a couple of months from n

Coming Soon got their hands on a promotional piece of artwork from the film that made the rounds at the European Film Market in Berlin. You can check that out below.

‘Machete Kills’ has the title character, who was last played by Danny Trejo…

…recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.

Director Robert Rodriguez (‘From Dusk Till Dawn,’ ‘Sin City’) is returning to helm the sequel. Kyle Ward penned the script. Besides a short, ’3 Rounds,’ he doesn’t have anything released to his name; however he’s one of the writers attached to the film adaptation of the video game, ‘Kane & Lynch,’ which has Jamie Foxx and Bruce Willis said to star.

What do you think of the artwork? Is it Trejo-intensive enough for you? Hopefully down the line a poster of sorts is released for the proposed sequel, ‘Machete Kills Again… In Space!’ Toss in a breathing apparatus unless Machete is hard enough that he doesn’t require one.
